The LED light bulb is manufactured using a number of small LED’s to for the shape of a bulb. They are available in different wattages too. These are quiet commonly seen in torches, traffic signals, car dashboards, etc. The LED’s manufactured today are of very high quality and they manufacture it in such a way that it lasts for 100,000 hours which is 10 times more than the CFL’s life span of 10,000 hours and 100 times that of an incandescent light. A 4 watt LED light bulb emits the same amount of light as a 40 watt normal bulb does.
The benefit of an LED light bulb is that it uses only 10% energy compared to that of a normal bulb. They have the ability to live through shocks, vibrations and temperature fluctuations. A LED light bulb are more energy efficient compared to a normal bulb. These bulb produce flicker free light compared to the normal ones.

There are different types of LED light bulbs available in the market today like diffused bulbs, diffused high powered bulbs and recessed down light and spot light bulbs.

A diffused bulb is used where the light needs to remain on for a long time. It has the ability to light up a large area. This can be made use of in your rooms, car porches, for your reading lamps and even in a hallway. This bulb uses 7 watts in the case of energy and has a life span of 50,000 hours and emits the same light as 20 watts to 60 watts incandescent bulb produces.

A diffused high power LED light bulb has been manufactured for a standard house. The life span of this bulb is 50,000 hours and the energy consumed by it is 13 watts. It emits the same amount of light as a 100 watts normal bulb.

A 4.5-watt floodlight can be used both indoors and outdoors. It operates with a spread-out dispersed light. The 7-watt LED light emerges brilliantly because it does not have a dispersing lens. Both these technique can be used to replace the 40 watts to 50 watts normal bulb.

You can use a 2.1 watts candelabra bulb in place of a 20 watts incandescent one as it emits a cool white light which cannot be dimmed and the light beam angles at 120 degree.

So, check through the different types of LED light bulb that are available in the market before you make a purchase. Choose a bulb according to the area that is to be lit up. This will save on your utility bills and you can have bulbs that do not heat up your house.
