LED Bulb-An Indicator light

LED bulbs emit light in the direction it is pointed or spread in the forward direction. Led bulbs are normally used in the lights as indicators for electronic devices such as musical instruments, traffic lights, domestic lights and lights used in cars and other vehicles. It is attached with semi- conductor diodes. The color of LED lights depends on the semi-conductor material used with the LED bulbs. The LED lights are visible which is of infrared or ultraviolet.

Facts about LED bulbs:

LED bulbs are being made by setting identical light emitting diodes close to get the shape of a light bulb. The light that is produced by LED bubs is almost same as a bright day light .So it has become a real threat to the traditional bulbs, tubes and other incandescent lightings.

Average life span of LED bulbs:

The state of the art technology used in the manufacturing process of this LED bulbs get them a longer life than any other incandescent light. Average life span of LED bulbs is around 10, 0000 hours while the normal bulbs have 10000 hours life. However, the average life span of LED lights is found to be coming down gradually owing to the heat that produces. It shows 50% less output when compared to the light that produced when it was brand new. This depends upon the die temperature of the LED bulbs.

Power Consumption of LED bulbs:

Power consumption of LED bulbs is much lower than normal incandescent bulbs. Because its heat emission is lower than any other bulbs. Ordinary incandescent bulbs waste more energy in the form of heat that they produce. For example, the heat production of an ordinary bulb and 4 watt LED bulb is same. So now it has become a normal practice of replacing ordinary bulbs with LED ones even at homes. It normally consumes about 350mA to 1500mA. But the power consumption of LED bulbs varies from manufacture to manufacture. And the consumption depends up on the purpose of LED lights. Now with the advanced technology; the LED manufactures are able to produce brighter light with less power consumption. More over, LED bulbs are producing high intensity light with the help of state –off- the- art technology used in it.

Nowadays people prefer LED lights because it is almost 50% more energy efficient than the normal bulbs are and ultimately reduces power consumption to the tune of 30-40%.
